#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, my baby is 2 years old now,she is having 102 temperature since yesterday night and consulted the doctor and he suggested paracetamol.. I am giving paracetamol but still fever is not going down..she is having motions and vomitings. what should I do now and please suggest

A. fever is the response of the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is called as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose which can can be again repeated after every 5 - 6 hours if required and do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses.
