A. For your 1-year, 5-month-old baby’s constipation, you can try these home remedies: 1. Increase Fiber-Rich Foods Offer fruits like papaya, pear, prune, apple (with skin), and banana (ripe). Give vegetables like spinach, carrots, and sweet potatoes in mashed or soup form. Include whole grains like oats, ragi, and multigrain roti. 2. Keep Your Baby Hydrated Give warm water throughout the day. Try fresh fruit juices (like prune, pear, or orange juice). 3. Add Natural Laxatives A teaspoon of soaked raisins or soaked figs in the morning helps digestion. Offer a little bit of ghee mixed in warm milk. 4. Gentle Stomach Massage & Exercise Massage the baby’s tummy in a circular motion to ease bowel movements. Encourage crawling, walking, and leg cycling exercises. 5. Avoid These Foods Processed foods, biscuits, excessive dairy (cheese, too much milk), and fried foods can worsen constipation. If constipation persists for more than 3-4 days or the baby shows signs of pain, blood in stool, or extreme discomfort, consult a pediatrician. Let me know if you need more help!
