#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, My baby girl turned 1 last month, but still no teeth. Her gums have hardened. Please let me know if I should take any steps for teething. Thanks

A. Some kids get their teeth a little late. The maximum you can wait is till the age of 18 months untill then massage the gums with a clean cotton cloth and give teethers to chew on.

A. hello babies can start teaching as early as 3 months and in general between 6 months to 9 months but if the baby is a late bloomer then the child can start teething even around 14 months and it is absolutely nothing to worry about and give your child calcium rich food in a diet
