#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, My baby boy is 15 months old.From 2 weeks we are seeing some sticky kind of thing like mucus in his stools often.Can you tell us why it is like that??

He is not passing loose stool but passing normally along with mucus.Is mother's milk also should be avoided??

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 10 m old girl4 years agoA. it may be due ti some indigestion. Loose stool are mainly die to viral infection due to seasonal variation. Milk should be avoided during this time as it is not digested well and ORS is given to prevent any type of dehydration. Zinc drop and probiotic should also be given.
