#AskTheExpert Hello doctor my 13 months old nephew is having constipation and having hard stools..What foods should we give to back to normal?

A. it s a normal thing as baby s now on solids. hard stools is common due to change in food pattern and content. For immediate relief from constipation u can use dulcolax / glycerin suppository. To avoid and  rectify constipation u shud focus on diet change. U shud give fibre rich fruits/pulpy seasonal fruits like mango apple pear pomegranate  n green leafy vegetables like beans palak brocolli etc. Give fruits mix in milk as shakes Increase water content and give plenty of other fluids also

Write Your Answer HereHello mom for relieving the constipation water intake is very important along with that start giving fresh curd on daily basis and start adding papaya on daily basis as papaya is a really good food for relieving constipation also apply mustard oil on babies potty area and try to make your child sit on the legs as on Indian toilets to pass the motion as this posture helps to pass the motion easily
