#AskTheExpert hello Doctor, I have 2 questions: 1. what to do for cough... 2. can we give cow's milk to 4 month old

A. For cold or cough, You can give indirect steam bath. If Breastfeeding u can add more garlic in ur diet which will help the baby's cold or cough and will also improve lactation. If there is any nasal congestion u can use nasal drops prescribed by ur pediatrician. You cannot do much other home remedies for babies under six months. So if the cold or cough seems to get severe it's good to consult with your pediatrician. Regarding cow's milk, It is recommended not to give packet milk or cows milk or any other animal milk until baby is one year old. It will be harsh for the baby's still developing digestive system. If u cannot breastfeed due to various reasons you can consult with your pediatrician and start formula for your baby
