#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor, I am Mother of 1year 4 month old boy.. and i am little worried about when he will start taking with us..as he now he do speak few words like papa and mama or eeeee... but got so much negative feedback feedback from my in-laws that my baby is too late and i should contact doctor... please guid..

If Your child is speaking certain words understanding what you are saying responding to the name making proper eye contact then there is nothing to be worried about some kids pick up on the speed a little late but that’s completely fine there is no delay a child can pick up very well in terms of talking by the age of three years also so there is no delay
