#AskTheExpert hello doc, my child is 6 months old...he is having bowed legs. Some says it will get cured on its own..some says its a matter to worry. plz suggest. is it that it will get cured on its own or do i need to consult a doc( after which age)?

A. this type of of legs is totally normal. no treatment is required except proper diet. kindly continue vitamin d supplements zif you are not taking the child in sunlight. if proper diet is being given then there is no need to worry about any calcium supplement. the curved lzegs/ bend legs usually take a normal shape by two years to three years of age. if in doubt then meet the doctor.
