A. If your 16-month-old baby is pooping 3–4 times a day for the past 5–6 days but the stool is soft, without mucus, blood, or foul smell, and the baby is active and feeding well, it can be normal. Toddlers often have variable bowel habits depending on diet changes, teething, or mild infections. However, if the stools are watery, very frequent, or accompanied by signs of dehydration, fever, or poor appetite, it’s best to consult a pediatrician to rule out any infection or digestive issue. Keep your baby well-hydrated and observe closely.
