Q.
#AskTheExpert hai I have 2 daughter's,3yrs n 1yr babies.they r suffering from fever frm 4days.am giving syrups antibiotic n paracetamol.but when I check fever it's always 98to99below.its not decreasing r increasing.can I take to tests to my babies.plz anyone answer.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. 99 is fever not below that baby on touch can have warm sole forehead and is a normal thing . Temperature above 99 farenheit at armpit level is considered as fever and needs medicines .
Can give calpol / Sumol / T 98 for fever and can be repeated every 6 hours .
if fever does not subside with paracetamol and persists for more than 2 days then you need to consult a doctor for examination to know cause of fever .
