#AskTheExpert Good morning sir. my son is feeling not well past 2 days.. he is having fever several times. I gave him med then fever is gone. but after some hours past it comes. so what can I do now. is this a viral fever? if it is then how long it will take?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. probably viral..! keep temperature checking 6 hourly.. And give paracetamol drops / syp in proper dose. Fevers higher than 104° F. should be attended to immediately. Dress your child lightly. Use a sheet instead of a blanket to cover her in bed. Breastfeed or give your baby formula often to maintain hydration of body. Give soft easy to digest diet. of no improvement after 5 days do further consult with paediatrician

Sunita MahatoMom of 2 children3 years agoA. if it is a viral fever then it will take 5-7 days to get over consult your pediatrician and follow the doctor keep baby well hydrated increase the water intake monitor temperature at regular intervals
