Q.

#asktheexpert Good morning doctor, I am a hypothyroid with hashimotos thyroiditis taking T.Eltroxin 100 microgram OD even before pregnancy and continuing still.Throughout pregnancy my Tsh Levels are normal. My son's TSH (sample taken on the same day of birth) is 4.334.He is 5 months 13 days old developmentally normal. When should I recheck his TSH level? Any dietary restrictions to prevent hashimotos thyroiditis??

A. You should actually follow up with your paediatrician for this they can tell you when you need to do it again and if there is any diet alteration as far as I know there is no dietary alteration required but still it is better to check with an export in the area
