#asktheexpert Dr my baby is 2 and half month now he is not drinking milk during night time

A. if the child is not taking breastfeeding or milk you have to see if the child is having any other problem or not. sometimes it might be due to colic pain or some oral ulcerations or oral thrush due to which the child might not be taking milk. sometimes it is a possibility that the child might not be hungry and sometimes there is a possibility that there needs to be again readjustment in position and attachment latchment in breastfceeding position. sometimes it can be a disease process or cold or nasal blockage also. it may be related to post vaccination pain and fever also.

A. So if you are trying to say that the child sleeps peacefully for some time or a longer time in the night and not taking a feed then that’s completely normal let your child sleep whenever the child would be hungry the child would wake up to take a feed and that’s the time when you should go for feeding the child
