#AskTheExpert doctor my baby is 1 and half years old and continously coughing in the night. My mom is also coughing. Is it contagious.?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of tdhe time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongdestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

Give turmeric milk twice daily
Give indirect steam inhalation use saline nasal drops
Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc
