#asktheexpert Doctor...My 2 year old boy often fall down from the cot as the middle of the head hitting the floor..He cried and his forehead get swollen.Is this kind of fall effect his development? He often fell down while playing..and many times his head get hurt..Is it anymore affects his future?.. please reply doctor.

A. it is important to keep the child for observation for at least 48 hours and if the child develops danger signs like severe headache or excessive crying or excessive vomiting or abnormal movements or lethargy or seizures then kindly meet your doctor immediately for examination. if none of above dangedr signs are present then you can follow wait and watch policy for pain you can give paracetamol which will help in also decreasidng swelling on the head. also apply ice locally.
