#AskTheExpert Doctor, My 14 month old baby boy has cold since 2 days. It started with running nose. He is having blocked nose and cough in the night. He keeps waking up frequently in the night and starts coughing (wet cough). I am giving him T- minic oral drops - twice a day and Nasivion LS nasal spray in the night. Is there anything else I should give him? any home remedies? please suggest

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold
In viral illnefdss there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .
