#asktheexpert Debanshu Pegu, at the age of 7 months was diagnosed with beta thalassemia minor and double heterogygous E trait, Debanshu's Father is a E trait and mother is E diseased and diagnosed by HB typing test. My question is , how is it possible to become beta thallessemic if there is no history of thelessemia in the family.

A. No sometimes these things can happen because you know sometimes these things and travel from for fathers it’s a genetic thing it is not necessary that the parents are not having it or is not in the stream right now sometimes these things are actually genetic from the four
