#AskTheExpert dear dr my daughter is 6 months old but not gaining weight and what should I give her as a calcium and vitamin supplement.

A. Hello mommy, To gain weight, your baby's total calorie intake must be greater than their calorie expenditure. There are three reasons why the coveted weight increase may not happen: they're not taking in enough calories. they're not absorbing the calories they do take in. . Breast milk is one of the best foods for babies under 6 months to gain weight. Since mother's milk is more nutritious than any other foods, it is good to exclusively breastfeed babies for the first 6 months. Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium. Eat foods that provide the right amounts of calcium, vitamin D, and protein. but plz consult your pediatrician before giving any calcium and vitamin syrup to the Child.
