A. Dear parent, a new born baby’s mom should be having small frequent meals. As a breastfeeding mother she should have one additional healthy meal as compared to earlier because the nutrition requirements for breast feeding mothers are more. Have a balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Have proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, milk and milk products. Healthy fats from almonds. Non veg foods like meat, chicken, fish. Have adequate fluid intake.
