Q.

#AskTheExpert Child has cough and mucus in the throat He is not able to spit it out. What should i do

A. uCough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicyine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fedver is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. Hi Nebulisation is going to be one of the best things that you can go ahead with currently for the child and that’s what is going to be the best thing that you can go ahead with it this is going to help in melting cough and congestion from the chest and throat of the child
