#asktheexpert can we give deworming syrup for my 1.3 years old baby girl. please answer experts

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repeat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated every six months at least till 5 year of age but it is advisadble to give this medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor

A. Yes Of course it can be given to the child but since your child is too small you ask the medicine and dosage from your doctor only and the paediatrician would be able to advise you with the correct medicine that you should go for and the dosage would be recommended according to the age and the weight of your child
