#AskTheExpert can we give cow milk to my baby 8 months old and if yes how much quantity and how many times per day can I give

A. It is recommended not to give packet milk or cows milk or any other animal milk until baby is one year old. It will be harsh for the baby's still developing digestive system. If u cannot breastfeed due to various reasons you can consult with your pediatrician and start formula for your baby. After one year of age, Start with few spoons on the first day. Continue it for two more days. If ur baby tolerates it then gradually increase the amount. Also introduce cows milk in other forms like chapathi, idly or dosa or rice in milk like that. But never expect the baby to drink one glass of milk on the first go. It will take time.
