#asktheexpert can we give antibiotics to babies under 6 months?

A. you cannot give antibiotics without medical consultation. also if it's viral infection or an allergy then there is no role of antibiotics. all infection and illness doe not require antibiotics. also dosage is given as per infection and type of disease. meet your dr for proper advice. dr will decide at any age

A. Yes if it is needed of course you can give antibiotics to the child but always whenever you start with any kind of antibiotic you have to consult your doctor and go for what they suggest which medicine is to be given in terms of antibiotics as well
