Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit andgv the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Yes you can, Paracetamol is the first choice of painkiller if you are breastfeeding. It appears in breast milk in very small amounts which are very unlikely to harm your baby. If you take paracetamol when breastfeeding, make sure you take it at the recommended dose and for the shortest possible time.
