#asktheexpert can I give cow milk for my 7months old baby. now he is formula fed.

Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Whole cow's milk can only be given to a child 1 year and above. Cow's milk has less iron content when compared to breast milk or iron fortified formula milk. Iron is very essential for the growth and the development of the baby in his or her first year of life. So cow's milk introduced at this age can cause iron deficiency anemia and also is too heavy for a baby's stomach.
