#asktheexpert can a mother who is breastfeeding her baby take a vaccine for COVID, if yes which one is better? and also would baby be also getting vaccines for Covid?

A. as per view of many pediatricians and gynecologist and according to the Western literature you can take the vaccination as per the Government of India they are not recommending vaccination for lactating mothers but there are very good number of studies which suggest that lactating mothers can take the vaccination so the end decision will be yours and you can discuss this with your doctor

A. no I would not recommend you to go ahead with the covid vaccine if you are feeding your baby however if you are not feeding the child and definitely you can go ahead as of now it's not being considered safe for pregnant and feeding women
