#AskTheExpert Black poop in children is ok? Also seperate hard lumps type poop...My child takes non veg everyday so is there any connection he is not taking any iron supplements

A. Hi mom Black stool is ok. This can be due to intake of any iron rich food. so no need to worry if your child is active and comfortable otherwise. Hard stool is due to less intake of water and fiber food. Increase the water intake and fibre rich foods like papaya pear plum prunes carrot dalia spinach beetroot etc in diet for stool softening.
