A. For an 8-month-old baby, you can include the following weight gain foods in their diet: Banana – Easy to digest and calorie-rich. Avocado – Healthy fats for brain and weight gain. Full-fat curd/yogurt – Good source of calcium and fat. Moong dal khichdi with ghee – Nutritious and energy-rich. Sweet potato mash – High in fiber and calories. Ragi porridge – Rich in iron and calcium. Mashed potato with butter/ghee – Good for healthy weight gain. Egg yolk (after doctor's advice) – Packed with proteins and healthy fats. Oats porridge – Light and nutritious. Breastmilk or formula – Still a major part of baby's diet. Offer 2–3 meals a day along with breastfeeding, and gradually increase quantity and variety.
