Q.

#asktheexpert Baby is always lickings his thumb and forefinger after every feed. Baby isn't having normal motion always using pressure while passing stool.

A. Thumb sucking/putting fingers into mouth may be normal at this age  It may also be due to infection, teething, insecure feeling,  If possible give teether  Distract ur Baby whenever he or she will do this.  It will help.  Keep ur baby well hydrated  Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day  and No problem if baby is passing adequate urine. If baby is active and playful,  no fever,  passing adequate urine ie.  minimum 6-8 times per day, then no need to worry for motion ( once in 7 days or  15 times per day-  both conditions are totally normal.

A. hi usually it is normal. and little bit straining is also ok. please feed your child on demand as you are nursing mother, eat easy to digest food give Massage to your child daily give Massage on stomach in clock wise direction with firm hands. move your child's legs in cycling motion. maintain good hygiene
