#AskTheExpert Baby is 21 days old and does not sleep at all at night. He seems to have gas. He keeps on crying the whole night. Will sleep if we take him on lap but as soon as we keep him on bed he wakes up. In the day time he is normal and sleeps properly. What can be done for this?

For making the child sleep you can do the following things You can swaddle the child to make the child comfortable You can sing a song / lullaby You can use a cradle or swing You can go for a ccar ride with the child Keeping the child on your shoulder you can walk briskly You can keep the child in between both the legs and gently swing the legs both sides. Sleeping pattern gradually improves with increasing age of the child

Some amount of gaseous distress and colic pain will be there even after all medicine or proper burping . Gastica drop can be given 3 times and meftal spas drop for pain when there is severe .
