#asktheexpert baby has fever (37.4) and loss of appetite. please advise medication as we hesitate to visit doctor in this pandemic.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. as you should know that baby on touch can have warm sole forehead and is a normal thing . Temperature above 99 farenheit at armpit level is considered as fever and needs medicines .
Can give calpol / Sumol / T 98 for fever and can be repeated every 6 hours .
if fever does not subside with paracetamol and persists for more than 2 days then you need to consult a doctor for examination to know cause of fever .
