#asktheexpert Baby becomes fussy and cries a lot at night. She demands to be breastfed but only suckles and not swallow much. At the same time she keeps unlacthing, bobs her head and searches for nipple again while crying. What causes this behaviour and what can be done to help the baby?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Crying of a Baby is mostly because of infanticle colic and gas related discomfort which can be relieved by medicine like colicaid /gastica drops.
othecr reasons could be nasal blockage, ear pain, diaper rash and more which needs to be ruled out and managed accordingly .
