Q.

#asktheexpert As my baby is 8 months old 6.5 kgs teething now.Her body temperature is 98.From three days she is very dull not even taking any feeding.

A. when you take the temperature in the armpit of the child with the help of a digital thermometer and if it is 99 f (37 c) or more then you consider it as fever or when you take the temperature inz the oral cavity of the child and if it is 100 degree fahrenheit then you consider it as fever and then paracetamol is given. along with paracetamol continue body sponge and keep the child in light clothes. paracetamol can be repeated maximum four times per day

A. Looking at the temperature that you have mentioned your child is not having fever but if your child is dull and not taking feeding then an assessment with your doctor physically would definitely be suggested that’s going to clear the doubt why this is happening and what’s needed to be done
