POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. At 7 months old, babies typically need 12-16 hours of sleep in 24 hours, including 9-11 hours at night and 2-3 naps totaling 3-4 hours during the day. If Anushri is sleeping only 3 hours at night in parts and 2 hours during the day, her total sleep is much lower than average, which may lead to overtiredness, fussiness, and difficulty in growth and development.
Possible Reasons & Solutions: Sleep Regression – Around 6-8 months, babies experience sleep changes. A consistent bedtime routine can help. Hunger or Discomfort – Ensure she is well-fed and has a comfortable sleep environment. Overstimulation – Avoid too much screen time or excitement before bedtime. Separation Anxiety – If she wakes up frequently looking for you, try gentle sleep training. Short Naps & Light Sleep – Encourage longer naps by making the room dark and quiet.
If she continues to sleep very little and seems cranky, tired, or not gaining weight properly, consult a pediatrician for advice. Let me know if she has any other symptoms!
