Q.
#asktheexpert ALVIRA is 6 month old and she have got a bad cough .I am giving her ascoril ls drops but night time the cough is more.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medvuicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.h
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

During the night time you can go ahead with nebulise the child as well that’s going to help in clearing the conditions on the chest and throat of your child so you can definitely go ahead with that doing it three times in a day is going to be very helpfulWrite Your Answer Here
