A. It's natural for babies to explore their environment by putting objects, including their hands, into their mouths. This behavior helps them learn about different textures and sensations. While it's true that this can increase the risk of bacterial infections, it's also an essential part of their development. As your baby grows, they will gradually learn to differentiate between objects that are safe to put in their mouths and those that are not. You can encourage safe exploration by providing age-appropriate toys and regularly cleaning their hands and surroundings. Additionally, practicing good hygiene, such as washing hands before meals and after using the bathroom, can help reduce the risk of infections. Trusting your baby's natural curiosity while taking appropriate precautions can support their healthy development.
