Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce tghe temperature and the dose can be repeated agaihn after 6 hours if required .

If it has been more than three days and I suggest you to get a blood test done as it could be due to viral infection as well so it’s very very important for you that you can go ahead with the getting a blood test done to have further clarity on the situationWrite Your Answer Here
