#askthedoctor Ipv 2 doses at 6 week and 14 week as per govt hospital is same as ipv 1/2/3 at 6/10/14 week as suggested by pediatrician at pvt hospital??

A. yes it is same but the dosage interval as well as the amount of vaccine given is different More proper information and answer regarding this will be given by your personal doctor and you can contact your doctor for this You can check with nearest doctor also in your locality. Take care

Q. My son is 2 yrs old. We gave following polio vaccine. OPV 0 - At birth IPV 1- 6 week IPV 2 -10 week IPV 3 - 14 week IPV-B1 - 18 Months As per Vaccine chart, IPV-B2 is planned at the age of 4-6 years. Government is giving OPV to child below 5 years age as a part of Polio vaccination program. They came to home to give Polio vaccine to my son(2 years old). Do we need to give OPV to my son(2 yrs) OR It is not required for my son? Please suggest.
