#askthedoctor baby having loose motions from last 2 weeks . in stool test, e coli bacteria is found. is this normal? is this found easily in any stool ? or do I need to give her any antibiotics like walamycin ?

A. #askthedoctor I met the doctor gastro , that too govt he said bas zinc and ors do. thk ho jaegi . I am feeling helpless now. ND I never ate anything bad which can harm her. only water ND milk has changed as I am at my mother's place. pls advice me I have already consulted with 3 doctors

A. there is a entity in which when mother is consuming outside milk as well as Milk products it can lead to loose motion in the child. your doctor will clarify on this. it is advisable that you should meet paediatric Gastroenterologist for proper examination and history evaluation of the child.

A. it is important to confirm whether it is a simple digestion problem causing loose motion or it is infection. also was there any history that the child was consuming outside milk for the child was only on breastfeeding. it is advisable to remain in contact with your local doctor for further course of action because many other history evaluations will be required.

A. #askthedoctor doctor having e coli is severe ? she having loose motions from last 2 weeks now. I gave taxim, econorm, enterogermina, znd, ors but no effect. I visited doctors but she is same now. they says just give znd . what I do now. pls help me I am really worried for her. she has lost her 400gm due to this. now new doctor prescribed walamycin , rhamo g sachet.
I don't want to give her antibiotics now unnecessary. pls pls help

A. Walamycin antibiotic is not preferred in oral dosage for children. it is only given for very severe infections and that too under controlled environment. as per my opinion you should not give this medicine and better to stick to To simple cefixime
you can always take a second opinion with another doctor in the area who will also examine the child and give you second opinion

A. doctor prescribed walamycin but I have already given taxim from 9days to her . so want to be sure before giving her any more antibiotics as they are harmful. pls guide

A. E coli is very regularly present in the stool of any child

A. whether your child requires antibiotic or not will be decided by your doctor after examination as well as if needed by stool examination. whether it is Viral or bacterial or some other digestion problem will also be examined by the doctor

A. medical examination will be required for your child. also meet your doctor and the earliest who will examine the child and tell you the proper diagnosis and treatment. in the meantime give regular diet. Hh
