#askdoctors My baby is lean but active should I make any changes in his diet Morning: 1glass Ragi java,1ildy,1fruit lunch:. rice and buttermilk evening: fruit,dried dates juice night: rice ,1glass milk

A. If u want to increase or change anything in the diet u may try and see if he is good with that. Or the current one itself seems to be good. After one year u can slowly start giving everything that u eat as a family may be in a less spicier version. Some food restrictions will be there until the baby is one year old like no cows milk or nuts or egg whites etc., but now u can give everything. Just follow the two day gap rule between introducing new foods. This will ensure ur baby doesnt become a fussy eater. Skinny look may be due to genetic reasons. If father or mother was skinny during their childhood then she could also be getting the same physique. So as long as the baby is taking feeds and eating properly, poops and pees regularly and is active and healthy you need not worry much about the weight.
