Q.

#askdoctors my baby girl is 19month old...she suffered teething pain for few days more n also bites anything n little bit fever at that time n loose motions also ....n sometimes cry so loudly late at night....everybody told it's normal...so what to do???in this type of situation...

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can giffve paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever

A. Hello dear parent! Gently press your child’s gums with a soft cotton cloth dipped in cold water to reduce teething discomfort. Give frozen carrots or cucumbers. Maintain a good personal and oral hygiene for your baby. Give your baby a well balanced healthy diet and keep hydrated.
