#askanexpert my baby haven't pooped for last 9 days.I consulted pediatrician after 7 days itself he asked me to wait for another 3 days and gave glycerin suppository.now when I tried to insert it to my baby.he start crying.is it painful for my baby?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. constipation in small babies lesser than 6 month of age is very common and is more common when you are giving formula feeding in such a case you can giveew Himalaya bonnisan drops three times a day to your child and give frequent feeding usually medicines or suppositories are avoided in such a case and constipation of few days can be consideredn as normal. if the baby is having gastric pain you can give collimax drops.if you need to give any enzyme preparation to your child you can consult doctor

AbhayaMom of a 16 yr 1 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi mom No it is not painful. It is slippery and will go inside easily Just insert it and ur baby will pass out motion within few hours. Also u can do cycling exercise of legs and lift the legs and gently press across the tummy for bowel movement.
