Ask the expert# My son is having cold and dry cough. Is it safe to give him boiled eggs or will it worsen his condition?

A. Yes, it can guce, but one egg at a time as they are heavy to digest. Common cold is a viral infection of nose and throat. Nasal Congestion and runny nose are the main indicators of a cold. Keep feeding your baby well, give indirect steam or use humidifier, put saline nasal drops. Apply vicks baby rub on chest, back and sole of the feet. You can prevent it by keeping your baby away from the person who is suck, wash your hands before handling the baby, clean baby's toys and pacifier often

A. if a child is having cough and cold it is better to consult your doctor for a popular examination and if required treatment accordingly you can give boiled eggs to the child it will not cause any problem in cough and cold
