A. For increasing breast milk, there is usually no special food or medicine needed. Breastfeed the baby frequently and make sure the baby is latching and feeding effectively. Eat a balanced diet with enough calories, drink water according to thirst, and get adequate rest. Foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, pulses, eggs and nuts can support overall nutrition. Medicines or milk-boosting supplements should only be taken after consulting a doctor or lactation consultant.
