# ask expert...baby was having fever at night so I gave paracetamol syrup 4 ml at 11 pm ..but still she is having fever..I will visit doctor at approx 8 am ..can I give her next dose now...she is having fever approx 101

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can cbe afgain repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can arlso do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
