#ask doctor..my baby girl is 4 month and 11 days old.....since last 3 to 4 days she has loose motion and she does it 3 to 4 time in a day which is quite watery..and from last 2 days she has cold and cough.. i tried to give her mucolite drops like 0.5 ml ,3 times a day.now her nose is not watery but still cough is there.so dont know what to do..and plz suggest me about loose motion

A. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like econorm sachet for 3 days for two times a day. For any specific treatment consult your doctor and maintain proper hydration . can give khichdi mashed potato ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of agge, maintain proper hydration by giving plenty of fluids.
