#ASK-AN-EXPERT MY BABY IS 5 MONTH OLD WHENEVER I FEED HIM LACTOGEN HE IS DOING WATERY POOP ,I TRIED SIMILAC FOR A WEEK POOP WAS GOOD BUT CANT AFFORD SIMILAC PLEASE SUGGEST SOMETHING

A. If your five-month-old baby is having watery stools after taking Lactogen but had normal stools with Similac, it’s likely that Lactogen is not suiting his digestion. Since Similac worked well but is costly, you can try Nestlé NAN PRO or Dexolac, which are generally more affordable and better tolerated by some babies. Every baby reacts differently to formula, so it may take a little trial to find the right one. Make any switch gradually over 3–5 days to help his tummy adjust. Also, consult your pediatrician before switching to ensure there are no underlying issues.
