#AskTheExpert What are the best. Solid nd semi solid foods for babies with g6pd deficiency.As this is inherited problem Nd passes from mother to son but I don't hv and deficiency then how is my child suffering from this?

A. But as I did research I got to know that this g6pd is inherited condition.

A. no , usually deficiences do not get transferred to kids from parents.. Your child should not come in close contact with mothballs (naphthalene). Your child should avoid fava beans. Some people should also avoid red wine, all beans, blueberries, soya products, tonic, and camphor. make sure you avoid,any kind of processed food like Cerelac, farex, biscuits . you could start with over ripen banana,malted ragi cooked in water, over cooked mashed rice and potatoes could be given ..also home made cow's milk curds cud b given to the bby. introduce one new food at a time..and the other food after a weeks time.
