A. hi mom. Afghan score is the one which is taken after the birth of the child immediately and within 5 minutes. this is to assess the general condition of the child specially the colour of the child heart rate reflexes muscle tone and respiration. each can get a score of 0,1 or 2 . a child is getting a score of 7, 8 or 9 is considered good, below then this may need of extra care
