Q.

am mother of 8 month old baby, recently I have diagnosed with hypothyroidism and started medication with 100 mcg since 1 month, whether there is any issue for breastfeeding while taking medication. whether there is any secretion of medicine through breastmilk. whether my child TSH need to be tested since am taking throxine tablets

A. if you are breastfeeding mother so if you are taking this medicine you can give breastfeeding to the child but it is always better to confirm with your doctor regarding this
